Manual lymph drainage is used to improve lymphatic function by gently massaging the superficial and the deeper parts of the lymphatic system. It aids in normalizing the contraction force of smooth muscles in the lymph vessel walls. Manual lymphatic massage is also decongesting lymph nodes, cleansing the body of waste products, and improving immune functions.
Foot reflexology is massage of the ten reflex zones of
the soles of the feet. These zones reflect the body’s organs and tissues, allowing the massage of otherwise
hard to reach areas. Benefits include normalization of organ and tissue function and decrease of stress
levels.
Nordic Walking is a way of walking with poles to enhance posture. Using the poles while walking encourages normal muscle use. This brings less strain on joints and soft tissues, like ligaments and tendons. Walking with a better posture also improves lymphatic function.
Watsu is a gentle way of being stretched and turned in warm water by the Watsu-practitioner. The stretches are performed in such a way that breathing deepens, meridians open, and muscles and joints relax. Buoyancy and the soft touch of water against the skin enhances lymphatic circulation and aids in releasing stress.
