Lymphedema Awareness: Introductory Skills for Bodyworkers
This workshop provides a comprehensive and up to date overview of the ins and outs of working with clients that are at risk for developing lymphedema.
Using a holistic framework, the workshop covers the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, early warning signs of lymphedema, and what to do and what to avoid when working with a cient that is post-cancer treatments.
After the workshop, participants will have insight in the being ‘At Risk For Developing Lymphedema’ position of the client and are able to give proper information to these persons. They also know when to refer and to whom to refer to when a client develops lymphedema.
